Bridging is pleased to announce their opportunity to expand their team through multiple new roles including the Director of Programs and Services. 

The Director of Programs & Services, is responsible for the overall efficiency and effectiveness of internal operations in managing and distributing the household goods that have been donated to the organization. 

This role is responsible for oversight of our client services areas which includes the development of new, and management of, existing relationships with partner agencies. Working closely with those agencies to ensure the clients receive excellent service from Bridging. 

This also includes overseeing Individual Volunteer Staff who, with a team of volunteers, assist clients to shop both virtually and in person; providing easy access to furniture and quality household goods. 

In addition, this role oversees warehouse operations including logistics, product leveling between sites, truck routing for product pick-up from corporations and individual donors, and delivery schedules for clients. 

This full time, exempt position is primarily located out of the Roseville facility, and will report to the Executive Director.

Client Services

  • Provide direction and support to Client Services Manager to ensure proper communication between agencies, clients and warehouse delivery staff
  • Oversee the entire client experience to maintain the high level of service that is delivered with dignity and respect
  • Provide overall leadership for the Client Services Team, strengthening a client-focused culture throughout the entire organization
  • Develop and manage short and long term plans for Client Services, evaluate program outcomes

Warehouse Operations

  • Provides leadership and oversight for internal operations and warehouse and delivery staff
  • Lead and support warehouse supervisors to enable them to maintain teams of highly motivated, efficient staff and volunteers
  • Responsible for the overall organization and safe operations of the warehouse
  • Responsible to ensure that warehouse operations runs smoothly including coordinating/delegating work throughout the warehouse leadership
  • Ensure training/equipping of team members to handle their responsibilities 

Volunteer Coordination

  • Ensures Coordinators recruit necessary levels of volunteers to fulfill daily operational needs
  • Ensures orientation, training, communication, scheduling and supervision to individual volunteers
  • Provide oversight to staff to ensure volunteers are trained and have a high quality experience in volunteering for the organization

Logistics

  • Create and oversee the department to find more efficient and effective ways of operating in the pick-up (residential and corporate) and delivery of products
  • Ensures delivery schedules are clearly communicated
  • Inventory Management and control

Leadership/Administrative Activities

  • Manage, evaluate and develop direct reports
  • Work across functional areas and with colleagues to maintain strong organizational culture
  • Act as a role model for leadership in the organization

What You Bring

  • Passion for the mission of Bridging and its important work
  • 7+ years of experience in nonprofit operations and/or programming
  • 5+ years experience in leadership position
  • Experience in working with/managing volunteers
  • Strong cultural competencies in working with diverse populations
  • Experienced in working in/with warehouse operations, preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Detail oriented with the ability to analyze data, recognize trends and communicate solutions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

COMPENSATION

The annual salary range for this role will be $80,000 to $90,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience. In addition, Bridging offers benefits including PTO, medical, dental, VTO, long/short disability, 401k match, life insurance, and professional development funds.
